Post-Pandemic Safety

The world is beginning to open back up after the long and arduous coronavirus pandemic. As society returns to a sense of post-pandemic normalcy, Shleppers remains vigilant in practicing our health safety measures. Our movers will continue to sanitize our trucks and blankets after every move and wear masks and gloves as per our customers’ requests. We also perform daily temperature checks and offer special incentives to support and encourage all our movers and admin staff to get vaccinated.

Keeping Your Items Safe: Wrapping & Crating

At Shleppers, we treat your belongings as if they were our own. We wrap and protect all furniture items and provide customized crating for fragile belongings like glass and marble countertops, tabletops, and furniture pieces.

Physical Safety Best Practices

Anyone who’s ever tried to lift a heavy item knows there’s a right way and a wrong way to go about it. The same thing goes when lifting and maneuvering large or heavy pieces of furniture. We train our movers to use the buddy system and always lift with their legs— not their backs!

Additionally, we require our warehouse carpenters to wear all necessary protective equipment, including clothing, hard hats, gloves, eyewear, footwear, etc. We’re also experts at keeping our work areas clean!

Driving Safety

Unless you’re moving to the house, office, or apartment next door, your move is going to require some driving. Our movers uphold strict driving safety measures to ensure the safety of your belongings and all those around them en route.
