Shleppers Moving & Storage recently donated one of our trucks to Kars 4 Kids, a New Jersey-based car donation program that benefits youth through education and mentorship. Since its conception in 1995, Kars 4 Kids has racked up some seriously impressive stats:

450,000 cars donated

240,000 cars recycled

32,000 people touched through their programs

5,000 people in their mentoring program

More than $100 million to charity programs

Even during the uncertainty and limitations of this global pandemic, Kars 4 Kids has transcended hurdles to continue accepting donations and providing much-needed programs and mentorship to kids. Many schools are still closed or only open part time, creating a unique need for programs that support parents, like the summer camps and mentorship that Kars 4 Kids has been providing for more than 20 years.

Making such incredible strides to help our youth is no easy feat, but the process of doing your part to contribute is surprisingly simple.  All it takes is the completion of a 2-minute form online or a quick phone call and within 24 hours, you’ll have a pick-up time for your vehicle. Obviously the virtue of knowing your donation is benefiting kids with after-school programs, events, and mentorship is more than enough reason to consider offering your car, boat, motorcycle, or RV, but Kars 4 Kids gives you something extra to look forward to: you a tax-deductible receipt and a 2-night hotel voucher.

Donate During COVID-19

Being there for each other has taken on a renewed importance during this year. Finding ways to contribute to the betterment of the global condition can get overwhelming, but charities like Kars 4 Kids take the stress out of improving the lives of those around you. Donations are still being accepted via a contactless pick-up process that keeps you and the Kars 4 Kids volunteers safe.
