If you’ve just moved into a new home in New York City, the odds are pretty good that Dad is feeling a little bit worn out. Moving is hard work, even if you have the professional movers do the heavy lifting. Unpacking boxes and getting settled into a new place is a process. Celebrate Dad and everything he does to make family life great with these NYC Father’s Day ideas:
For the Active Dad
Does Dad love adventure? Does he talk about wanting to take up extreme sports? Here’s his chance to try – in a fun, family-friendly version. Head to Central Park for Adventures NYC. There’s so much to do – rock climbing, a zip line, and outdoor survival training top the list. All activities are free and fun!

For the Gourmet Dad
If Dad loves to cook & eat great food, he’ll really enjoy the Edible Academy. For the Musical Dad
Sing for Hope has installed Pop Up Pianos all over New York City. Each piano has been decorated by an artist, including some Broadway stars from Kinky Boots, Wicked and more. Finding all 50 pianos is a great way to familiarize yourself with your new neighborhood. They’re all ready to play too, so if Dad wants to strike up a tune, this is his chance. This is a limited time opportunity – after June 24th, all of the pianos will be going into community school music education programs.
